Reserve & Collect service launches at Cardiff Airport

Passengers flying from Cardiff Airport can now enjoy a new Reserve & Collect service from World Duty Free.

The Reserve & Collect feature allows customers to browse online and pre-order their products any time between 1 month and 24 hours before they fly, and then collect them at the Airport’s World Duty Free store before their departing flight.  Passengers can choose from a much wider range of products from leading brands across cosmetics, fragrance, liquor and confectionery, including items that aren’t available to buy in-store.

To use Reserve & Collect, passengers simply enter their departure details online, browse the World Duty Free website and then visit the Collection Point to pick up and pay for their items before jetting off.  It all makes for a smooth and convenient airport shopping experience with access to a fantastic choice of products at great prices.

Lee Smith, Commercial Manager at Cardiff Airport said:

We’re really excited to be able to introduce the Reserve & Collect service to our customers. We know from our customer feedback that this is something that our passengers really wanted to see at Cardiff Airport, so we are delighted to be able respond to this and take the Airport shopping experience to another level. We look forward to working with World Duty Free on more exciting future developments.”

Carl Ball, Regional Manager for the World Duty Free store at Cardiff added:

“We share the airport’s excitement at being able to offer passengers access to the World Duty Free Reserve & Collect service.  It makes our much wider product range available to anyone flying from the Airport and it’s so convenient to be able to discover and shop the extensive choice we offer across all categories, before you actually get to the Airport.  We expect the service to be extremely popular.”

The Cardiff World Duty Free store stocks world-famous brands including Lancôme, Estée Lauder and Burberry, as well as designer fragrances, sunglasses and jewellery from brands such as Rayban, Gucci and Swarovski. A range of whiskies, spirits and wines are available, as well as a number of local Welsh food, drink and lifestyle products.

Tax and duty free operator Dufry recently renewed their contract at Cardiff Airport, following a successful partnership for the past 20 years. As part of the store’s redevelopment plans, it will be re-branded as World Duty Free, and feature a series of improvements to the store and passenger shopping experience.
