LinksAir Anglesey service

Information for passengers

A Welsh Government spokesperson said: “LinksAir, the provider of the intra-Wales service withdrew its service without notice today (Friday 22nd January 2016), however the Welsh Government has secured an alternative carrier to enable the service to continue without any interruption.”

The flights will continue on Monday 25th January on the normal schedule with Citywing.

Citywing will honour all pre-sold tickets sold for the service on Monday and Welsh Government will confirm the position for later in the week.

Alternatively, Arriva Trains Wales (ATW) is accepting intra-Wales air service tickets on its train services between north and south Wales.

Passengers can contact Citywing, with any enquiries on 0871 200 0440 or visit www.citywing.com.

If passengers no longer wish to travel, they can get a full refund from LinksAir by contacting 0844 800 2411 or e-mail customerservices@linksair.com.

Update as of 23 January

Following the news on Friday that Linksair would no longer fly and Citywing were to operate the North - South Wales service without interruption to passengers Debra Barber, Managing Director at Cardiff Airport commented: “We were very pleased that,  through the combined efforts of all involved,  a replacement service with Citywing was confirmed by 5pm on Friday.
“By acting so quickly following the announcement by Linksair earlier in the afternoon,  it has meant that there will be no disruption to customers, and passengers due to travel on Monday can continue to do so without concern.
“Our customers using the Airport  are our priority and we will continue to work with the Welsh Government and the service provider to ensure the long-term provision of the intra Wales air link.”
