Less than a year after its car parking operation was brought in-house, Cardiff Airport has achieved the prestigious Park Mark® standard.
This demonstrates to our customer base that all of Cardiff Airport’s on-site parking facilities have achieved the ‘Safer Parking’ status - a national standard for UK car parks that have low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
Following a rigorous assessment, the Airport’s car park now sits within just 25% of the UK’s car parking facilities that meet these high standards and implement security measures to actively reduce crime and present a clean, safe environment.
Debra Barber, Managing Director at Cardiff Airport, said: “Our team works tirelessly to ensure our customers enjoy their experience when they fly from Cardiff, and we know that a customer’s journey starts before they board the plane. This mark of recognition is a testament to the care and high standards upheld by car parking and environmental staff to secure our site and deliver the highest standard of service, so customers can travel rest assured that their vehicle is safe with us.”
Park Mark®, is awarded to parking facilities that have successfully met the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the police and is an initiative of the Associations of Chief Police Officers (ACPO/S).
