If you are dropping somebody off at the airport please be assured that there is plenty of signage directing you to the drop off or pick up points on your arrival at the airport.

The following options are available:

  • Free drop off area outside the terminal building for up to 10 minutes
  • If the 10 minutes are exceeded the cost thereafter is £5 for every 10 minutes
  • This is for drop off only
  • Vehicles must be attended at all times*
  • Payment can be made via pay on foot machines in the drop off area

*Vehicles left unattended may be removed

We know that the average drop off time is 7 minutes and so 10 minutes should be plenty of time, however, if you require longer you may want to consider parking in Long Stay 1, where you will have 20 minutes parking free of charge.

If you park in Long Stay 1 you are only a short walk or free shuttle bus ride from the terminal building. You can pay for your parking at a machine in the car park or in the arrivals hall.

There is also a special assistance vehicle available for passengers with reduced mobility.

After 20 minutes charges will be incurred.

Please do NOT park on approach roads as this will create congestion and will mean a much longer walk to the terminal building.
