Fly from Cardiff to Vancouver with a one stop connection

It doesn’t take long for visitors to find what they are looking for in Vancouver. It is a people-pleasing destination as this is a city that manages to be cosmopolitan yet outdoorsy.

Situated on the southwest corner of British Columbia, Vancouver is the third largest metropolitan area in Canada and the city is surrounded by some mighty mountains. These mountains are often dusted with snow and this encourages visitors to travel to Cypress, Grouse or Seymour as these are popular places for skiing opportunities. For those that prefer the sun to the snow, Vancouver has plenty of beaches to lounge on and nobody can avoid the beautiful Stanley Park. This is bigger than Central Park, and is the perfect place to explore whether you are on foot, bike or even rollerblades.

Whatever visitors decide to do in Vancouver one thing is always consistent, the city’s electric atmosphere.

Go downtown. For those keen to learn about Vancouver’s landmarks, downtown is the place to go. There you will find Canada Place, the Vancouver Convention Centre and the Marine Building.
Enjoy the view. Vancouver has so much to do that it can be easy to ignore the beautiful scenery around you. Try and set aside a day to relax in Stanley Park, as this is a great place to view the skyline and the mountains that engulf the city.
Soak up the sun. Vancouver isn’t just for snow lovers, visitors can also enjoy the sunshine on one of their beaches. Kitsilano Beach is popular, especially for people that enjoy beach volleyball, and Spanish Banks is great if you would like to relax in a quieter area.
Enjoy some sushi. Vancouver has a wonderful culinary scene, and you’ll be spoilt for choice with the variety of cuisines available. If you don’t know where to begin, it is claimed that the sushi in Vancouver is the best in North America.
Shop till you drop. The shopping in Vancouver is fantastic and if you like shops that are familiar, Robson Street is a great place to treat yourself.
