Sharm El Sheikh Make a splash in the Red Sea

Direct flights from Cardiff to Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh is a destination for all the family. It contains two neighbouring bays, Na’ama Bay and Sharm al-Maya which welcome many tourists to their deluxe hotel complexes. The latter has only recently been developed with an array of hotels, restaurants and bars so if you are looking for some history head to the old town, a few minutes from the beach.

If you do stay by the sea, you can enjoy an array of family friendly watersports activities. Sharm El Sheikh is incredibly popular for diving and scuba diving, due to the crystal clear warm waters and tropical fishes.

This sunshine destination also excels in entertainment so dust off your golf clubs or dancing shoes and enjoy everything Sharm El Sheikh has to offer!

  1. Swim in the Red Sea. Sharm El Sheikh is well known for its diving spots, especially if you head southwest to Ras Mohammed Marine National Park. This is one of the best dive regions in the world!
  2. Visit the desert. Take a trip to the desert via jeep or camel and see the real Egypt away from the excitement of the tourist industry.
  3. Go to market. The Old Market is a great place to try some authentic Egyptian barbeque food including Kofta and stuffed vegetables.
  4. Remember your sunscreen! Temperatures can become very warm in the summer months so don’t forget to pack all your sunshine essentials!
  5. Travel to Cairo. From the resorts you can fly to Cairo or go on a two day excursion, where you can marvel at the Pyramids of Giza and many more must-see attractions!

Scuba diving/snorkelling is amazing, they have fringing reefs so no need to go too far into the ocean.
