Plan your trip1-Explore the markets- Maasai markets are everywhere in the city, so you won’t be short of chances to purchase local crafts and artefacts and try out your haggling skills!
2-Head to the National Parks- Nairobi has a safari park located just 7km outside the city centre. What’s more is that it also boasts the world’s biggest black rhino populations! Of course, you can also head further afield to embark on a safari in one of Kenya’s many parks where you’ll find incredible wildlife and breathtaking waterfalls.
3-The Nairobi National Museum is a must visit. Here you can discover a collection of cultural artefacts dating back to prehistoric times, as well as a collection of native birds
4-Feed giraffes! You can pet endangered Rothschild giraffes at the Giraffe Centre, run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. A must –visit to get up close and personal with these amazing creatures.
5- Experience a cookout- a Kenyan ‘karoga’ is a fantastic experience- it’s essentially a casual dining experience where large groups come together to enjoy delivous food. You can either bring your own ingredients, order raw ingredients, or order off the menu and have your food cooked in front of you to your exact taste!
