Larnaca The heart of the Mediterranean

Flights direct from Cardiff to Larnaca

The charming town of Larnaca is a great spot for tourists seeking the Mediterranean way of life. Situated on the south east coast of Cyprus, Larnaca is one of the last remaining traditional Greek-Cypriot towns that have not been swamped by tourism.

In recent years boutique hotels have popped up around the town, meaning more visitors can stay and enjoy the gorgeous well-kept beaches, historical landmarks and indulge at a variety of authentic cafes and restaurants boarded by the sea. During a visit the glorious sunshine and permanent gentle breeze make sightseeing a relaxing experience.

For those looking for a livelier holiday, the clubbing hotspot of Ayia Napa is only a short drive away and offers a variety of nightlife to keep travellers dancing all night.

  1. Wander the streets. Larnaca is the perfect town to explore on foot, so remember to bring comfortable shoes and explore this intriguing town.
  2. Go shopping! If you need an excuse to hit the shops, there are plenty in Larnaca! From high street shops like Zara to thrift stores in the side streets, you won’t find it hard to spend your holiday money.
  3. Enjoy the view. Near Larnaca airport there are some sea caves at Cape Greco that provide a beautiful view and is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
  4. Taste the Mediterranean. There are many delicious restaurants but the best way to know if it is recommended is if there are more locals than tourists dining there!
  5. Discover the past. Visit Choirokoitia (also known as Khirokitia) as this is an UNESCO World Heritage site and an archaeological spot of Cyprus’s earliest communities.

Make sure that you go to an after party called ‘River Reggae’ because it is the best place to party the night away!
