Jump in the pool. There are many luxury hotels on the island and keep your eyes peeled for those with infinity pools. They are the perfect way to relax and soak up the scenery.
Remember your camera. If you are a film fan, you will definitely want to take some pictures of the scenery that features in Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. For example, head to Horgota beach as the jetty there was part of a memorable scene in the film.
Hire a boat. If you want to discover the secluded parts of the island then grab a boat and find your own private beach to relax on for a day.
Ride on horseback. For those that like alternative activities on their holiday, find a local horse-riding stable and explore the mountains on horseback. This is a great way to discover the local villages and vineyards nestled around Kefalonia.
Taste the local produce. Kefalonia has some lovely local honey, which includes wild thyme, and a great local wine called Robola. You can always grab an extra bottle to take back home too!

I would definitely recommend a trip to Fiskado as it is full of stunning cafes, restaurants and gift shops!
