Dive into the deep. Gran Canaria is famous for its scuba diving because it is one of the best places to dive in Europe. Keep an eye out for the brightly coloured Parrotfish!
Climb a tower. Las Palmas cathedral took 400 years to complete and gives you a great view of the island.
Enjoy some Canarian architecture. Head for Casa-Museo de Colón which has a beautiful exterior and contains information about the Canary Islands’ role in transatlantic shipping. Admission is free too!
Find some space. The beaches can be very busy during peak season so head to Montana de Arena, which is also called Sand Mountain, and this will feel like your very own private beach!
Go to the park. For a family day out the best place to visit is Palmitos Park which is home to many animals, including dolphins and exotic birds!

Take plenty of sunscreen as it can get very hot!
