Geneva is a beautiful city, nestled underneath the snowy Alps and alongside the banks of Lake Geneva. This is a truly tranquil area and is the perfect place to land before you embark on a skiing holiday.

The French Alps can be reached easily from the airport and there you will discover a skier’s heaven. With stunning sunshine and a variety of slopes to suit any ability this destination is prepared for professionals or families. The resorts are also fully equipped when the snow melts as then holidaymakers can enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking and white water rafting.

Plus, this holiday is not primarily for extreme sports! Each resort has cinemas, bowling alleys, restaurants and bars all waiting for you to enjoy!

 

  1. Touch the sky! If you are looking for superb snow and thrilling ski routes head for Val Thorens which is the highest resort in the French Alps!
  2. Get connected. If you want to travel away from the Alps there are plenty of fast trains to transfer you to and from Geneva.
  3. Treat yourself. If you are in Geneva don’t try and resist the allure of a beautiful Swiss watch, which can be bought on Market Street.
  4. Go exploring. There is plenty to discover just outside of Geneva and the Alps, with miles of countryside that is perfect for hiking or biking.
  5. Take a day trip! From Geneva you can visit some nearby towns like Montreux and Lausanne, and these trips can be organised when you arrive in the city.

Go to the UN for a tour and the Red Cross museum. There is also an awesome chicken restaurant called Chez ma Cuisine
