China A whole new world to discover

Fly from Cardiff to China with a one stop connection

China is a country that holds enough diverse culture, heritage and entertainment to satisfy every traveller’s desire. It is a destination so vast that a short summary will only be able to give you a snapshot of this beautiful country.

It is a place that is not just ideal for a tranquil retreat, but also offers a range of attractions that are perfect for all the family. From playing with baby pandas, hiking along the Great Wall of China to marvelling at China’s ancient architecture, you won’t be disappointed.

In fact, experiencing China is not just a holiday, it's a journey.

  1. Be adventurous. China has some delicious and interesting cuisine including barbequed insects and donkey burgers, so why not try something new!
  2. Find the seaside. China has amazing beaches so head to Qingdao in the Shandong Province because it is extremely laid-back and peaceful.
  3. Hire a guide. English is not the first language in China so unless you are fluent book a place on a guided tour, especially if you wish to travel away from the top tourist areas.
  4. Discover China’s 5,000 year old history. This is one of the main attractions of China so make sure you visit the many museums in the country. The Terracotta Army is a must-see!
  5. Travel by train. If you want to see some of China’s stunning landscapes book a train journey and admire the view! You’ll also get to spend some time with the locals and experience the high-speed rail.

An evening cruise on the river gives an unprecedented view of The Bund at night and The Great Wall of China is an adventure in itself- not to be missed!
