Cape Town The wild side of life

Fly from Cardiff to South Africa with a one stop connection

South Africa is the home of surprises with every turn offering a new delight. A country known for its diverse landscape, exotic safaris and adventurous cuisine, travellers are thrown into a world that celebrates the wild side of life.

Experience vibrant Johannesburg, South Africa’s largest metropolitan space and home to skyscrapers, Victorian architecture and a variety of traditional restaurants, jazz clubs and museums. Alternatively leave the concrete jungle and head for Cape Town, South Africa’s oldest city and watched over by the stunning Table Mountain. Those after an adventure will be spoilt for choice as they are able to drive along coastal roads, ride the waves or cycle across rocky terrain.

Whatever part of South Africa you choose to explore, you’ll find a new path to tread.

  1. Visit a vineyard. South Africa has one of the oldest wine industries outside of Europe, with beautiful and very affordable vineyards on the outskirts of Cape Town.
  2. Chat to the locals. South Africans are incredibly welcoming so take the time to listen to their stories!
  3. Go on a Safari. South Africa is known for its fascinating safaris so this is an experience not to be missed. Kruger National Park promises one of the best safaris in Africa and has nearly 2 million hectares of wildlife.
  4. Bring your camera. Table Mountain in Cape Town, now one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature, has a landscape that shapes the city and you will want to capture the moment.
  5. Hop on a bus. If you are looking to explore Cape Town, hop on the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour which runs every 25 minutes and has around 14 stops.

Table Mountain is definitely a must-see, and make some time to go to Robben Island.
