Fly from Cardiff to Boston with a one stop connection

Boston is located along the Atlantic Ocean coastline and it is the capital city of Massachusetts. The city is one of the oldest in the USA so visitors are spoilt for historic sights. Boston is famous for its references to the past and invites everyone to follow ‘The Freedom Trail’ as it connects 16 historic sites.

Although Boston has an unforgettable history, as the city played an important role in the American Revolution, it is definitely not stuck in the past. Boston is described as forward-thinking, so its culture, shops, restaurants and museums happily cater for the modern day.

Once visitors have soaked up the history and cultural elegance of Boston, it will be time to dine on some delicious seafood. Due to its location, Boston has mouth-watering seafood which can be enjoyed against an epic harbour backdrop.

Go for a walk. Boston is a walkers dream, due to its narrow cobbled streets and attractions around every corner. Walking is very popular in Boston, so forget public transport and grab a good pair of walking shoes!
Lunch at the market. Try and squeeze in a visit to Boston Public Market as it is a great place to grab some local cuisine. Alongside a variety of fish, you will find sweet treats and a range of local produce.
Relax in the park. Boston has nine parks which are all linked by parkways and waterways so you will be spoilt for choice of where to visit first. This group of parks are called the Emerald Necklace and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Go to the neighbourhoods. The neighbourhoods in Boston is one of the many attributes that makes it one of a kind. Each neighbourhood is different and suits a variety of interests, for example Beacon Hill is fantastic for architecture and South End is home to top restaurants.
Chat to the locals. The people that live in Boston are incredibly friendly and welcome visitors all year round. If you want to strike up a conversation ask them about baseball, as they will definitely have an opinion about the Boston Red Sox!

Boston is definitely one of the most accessible cities to walk around- so take some comfy shoes!
