Belfast The gateway to Northern Ireland

Direct flights from Cardiff to Belfast

Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, is a compact but lively city offering an experience to suit any budget. It is also a city enriched with history, having played an important role in the Industrial Revolution and built the unforgettable RMS Titanic.

As there is so much to discover the city offers walking, bus and taxi tours that will take you to the very heart of the city. Here you will find an array of shops, bars and restaurants that are situated amongst a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The city also offers a thriving music scene so ensure that you stop to listen to one of the traditional Irish bands that play in the bars and theatres throughout Belfast. You never know what talent you will uncover!

  1. Hear the Titanic story. One of the reasons tourists head to Belfast is to learn more about the Titanic. Why not book a place on one of the Titanic Walking Tours!
  2. Go shopping! Belfast excels in shopping so enjoy a day of browsing their range of high street, boutique and independent shops.
  3. Forget public transport. The city is extremely compact so you can easily visit the top attractions on foot.
  4. Go to the zoo! For a great family day out find your wild side at Belfast Zoological Gardens.
  5. Get away from the city. If you need a day to relax away from the city’s excitement, take a day trip to the countryside. The Giant Causeway is only an hour away!

Go see the Stormont Estate where the northern Irish parliament meet, it looks like a giant palace!
