Aberdeen is a city situated amongst untouched countryside, striking coastlines and is near to the largest National Park in Britain. Alongside this stunning natural beauty is the glittering granite that makes up the city’s architecture and sparkles in the sunshine.

Visitors can then explore Aberdeen’s cultural gems, including many museums, art galleries and 17 castles that are part of Scotland’s Castle Trail. Aberdeen also has a strong relationship with the sea so boasts a great maritime history.

Equally Aberdeen has a buzzing cosmopolitan atmosphere, with more than 800 shops on the ‘Granite Mile’ and a varied nightlife to keep any visitor entertained!

  1. Discover how whiskey is made. Take a visit to one of the world’s oldest whisky distilleries, Glendronach Distillery have been producing it for over 200 years!
  2. Walk along the coast. There are miles of beautiful coastline to discover so take a walk along the Banffshire coast and you might spot a bottlenose dolphin!
  3. Visit an art gallery. Aberdeen is bursting with culture and one of its best attractions is the Aberdeen Art Gallery, which will not cost you a penny to visit!
  4. Go on a cruise. Hop on the 45 minute boat ride from Aberdeen Harbour which will take you through the city, explaining the famous landmarks and moments of historical interest.
  5. Enjoy the city’s architecture. A short walk around the city centre will show you the diverse nature of Aberdeen’s buildings. From neoclassical to gothic revival there is a lot to uncover!

The shopping is amazing! Head for Union Square Shopping Centre which only opened in 2009!
