Community Communication

Communication between the Airport and the community in which it sits and serves is essential.  

Cardiff Airport Consultative Committee (CACC)

Cardiff Airport has a long established committee which includes representatives from surrounding local authorities and various other stakeholder groups.  The committee meets every three months and considers a wide range of issues concerned with operations of the airport including development, environmental issues, community projects and customer service. 

Members of the public are invited to attend and given the opportunity to speak after the formal part of the meeting is complete. 

Community section of website

We will develop a dedicated community section to the website which will include the following;

  • Details of CACC
  • Current commitments
  • Details of  Community Fund projects
  • Details of charity support and ways to apply
  • Details of community tours
  • Publications e.g. community policy, environmental policy
  • Contact information 

Community tours

Cardiff Airport welcomes many groups to the airport throughout the year in addition to the learning programme for tours and/ or presentations, these include; 

  • Welsh Assembly Government
  • Vale of Glamorgan Council
  • City of Cardiff Council 

Community presentations

In addition to welcoming various groups at the airport, senior Management also present to community groups on matters affecting the airport such as;

  • Institute of Welsh Affairs 
  • South Wales Chamber of Commerce

Community engagement events

Ensuring an appropriate attendance to listen to and speak to our local community including;

  • Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show 

Community boards and committees

Several members of Senior management sit on local steering groups, boards and committees representing the views of Cardiff Airport these include;

  • Cardiff Capital Region City Deal
  • Cardiff and Vale College – Aerospace and Employer Advisory Board
