By road

The airport is close to Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, 12 miles west of Cardiff and 10 miles from junction 33 on the M4.

Exit junction 33 on the M4 and follow the signs to Cardiff Airport along the A4232, A4050 and A4226.

• Entrance to the drop off / pick up area, short stay and long stay 1 car park is via the Eastern approach, Port Road
• Entrance to the long stay 2 car park is via the Western approach, roundabout with A4226 and B4265

 All drivers picking up or dropping off passengers should follow the Pick up/drop off signage trail. The pick up and drop off options include:

Priority drop & go and Priority pick up

Priority drop & go

Drivers are required to pay £1 for 10 minutes to drop off passengers outside the terminal building.

Blue badge holders are entitled to up to 20minutes in the Priority drop & go area.

Payment can be made using the coin bin/ card machine on exit, and cars must not be left unattended at any time.

Priority pick up

Pay £1 for 20 minutes to collect passengers from the Short Stay Car Park, close to the terminal building.

Payment can be made in the arrivals hall or car park payment machine.

After 20 minutes parking will be charged at the standard tariff.

Free drop off & pick up

A 20 minutes FREE drop off, pick up and parking area is available in Long Stay 1.

There is a short walk to the terminal or a FREE shuttle bus every 15 minutes to the terminal building. There is also a special assistance vehicle available for passengers with reduced mobility.

After 20 minutes parking will be charged at the standard tariff. Payment can be made in the arrivals hall or car park payment machine.

Please do not pick up or drop off on approach roads as this may create traffic congestion and will also mean a longer walk for your passengers.
