Glasgow A non-stop cultural city

Direct flights from Cardiff to Glasgow

Glasgow is a cultural delight waiting to be discovered. You will be spoilt for choice with the variety of museums, art exhibitions and historical landmarks on offer.

Glasgow was one of the first cities to be named as European Capital of Culture in 1990 and since then it has always lived up to its name.

The city is a great choice for a city break with a loved one, or even a holiday away with the family as it is able to cater to any interest. Nobody is able to forget the Glasgow buzz!

  1. See a work of art! If you know your paints from your paintbrush head for Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and you will be able to see a variety of famous paintings.
  2. Visit Glasgow Cathedral. This impressive cathedral is worth a visit as it is one of the only medieval churches remaining after the reformation.
  3. Indulge in some Scottish cuisine. In the city there are many famers’ markets which sell traditional produce to give you a real taste of Scotland.
  4. Thrill your family. Glasgow is perfect for a family holiday as there are many appropriate attractions. M&D’s theme park is definitely worth a visit!
  5. Wander the streets. Sometimes it is the simple things in life that are the best! Take some time to walk around the city and view some of the remarkable architecture from Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
