Cardiff Airport in the Community

The Cardiff Airport in the Community is a grant scheme that has been allocated to three tiers - Gold, Silver and Bronze - allowing us to support a number of organisations at different levels.

Gold: £500
Silver: £250
Bronze: £100

Cardiff Airport will select multiple organisations to support per year (financial year April –March)  

Criteria:

Preference will be given to organisations that fit the following criteria;

  • The organisation must be based in Wales and supporting the South Wales community
  • The organisation must not receive funding from Government bodies
  • Projects should that have an educational and/ or an environmental focus.

The organisation must be proactive in utilising the Airport support and must agree to promote the Airport through joint PR opportunities.

Selection:

Applications for 2019 have now closed. Please check back in 2020 for information on how to apply. 

Selection process: Once the application form has been completed it will be assessed by the Working Group who will shortlist partners based upon the quality of the application. The Working Group will inform the organisations whether the application has been successful in being shortlisted but will not supply any reasons for non selection and will not enter into any discussions concerning its choice.

Delivery:

The chosen organisations will liaise directly with the Working Group as to the fundraising activities to be undertaken in association with the Airport. 

On going relationships and two way communication is vital to the success of the partnership to meet both business and community objectives.

 As a partner organisation they will be given access to the following opportunities plus any others agreed with the airport in advance;

  • An agreed financial contribution, delivering to an agreed plan
  • Access to airport passengers for profile raising
  • Access to airport and airport partner staff for fundraising/ profile raising/ volunteering
